This was just one of the floating bars set up on the Seine River in Paris. Great. One of the coolest things in France was being able to have twilight drinks by the river side. How would you act if I paid you half what you were worth for your days work? Guess it would matter more that it would effect you. I believe that I work hard fir the money that I spent on those darn tacos and if I say "No sour cream!", that's what I expect. Often times I'm on a very tight schedule and I can barely stop to eat and have to take it with me and eat while I'm moving. Now learn how to do it right and realize that your customers also work and are very inconvenienced when you don't care. I'm proud of these young folks for working. People who are detailed are trusted with more and find themselves in successful places. People who are mediocre live mediocre lives. Wherever you go or whatever you do will be what you are known for. Deduct 2 points from me for that, cause I'm tired and got back to my truck and saw sour cream and decided that I'll eat tomorrow. The cashier was so quick to get me out of his face, that he didn't listen at all. I know it's un-American, but I paid for it. I ordered 2 soft taco supreme without sour cream. I will absolutely be back to try the other omelettes, salads, and benedicts! Glad Joplin still has a few little gems hidden around. The atmosphere is great and gives me a lovely little french cafe vibe. We got there around 1:05 and were eating by 1:20, quick service and oh so friendly, even though it was at the end of their day. Not today, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It was absolutely amazing, warm, fresh, and definitely made with love! Normally I'm disappointed by my cheats when I eat out. Included was a side of sweet potato fries with amazing seasoning (I even drizzled some of my extra jam on them, and, just wow), parmesan truffle fries, and a fresh fruit cup. I, slowly and meticulously, ate through the avo toast of the day (with smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers), the Monte Cristo (and the jam was just to die for), and the Nutella banana crepes. Husband ordered the cordon bleu omelette and it was incredible, he pretty much vacuumed it up and was full for several hours, portions are great for people who don't eat a single meal a day. Normally I'm eating keto, and they even have a keto breakfast bowl which is so hard to find when dining out, so I was very thankful. Usually I'd expect at least one item on three entrees to be a little lackluster, but absolutely no detail was skipped over here. Wow! I came here for Saturday brunch and ordered three entrees for myself as I'm on a OMAD diet. It’s no surprise there was empty seats at noon on a Sunday afternoon. I’m actually surprised this location is still open. I’ve eaten at greasy spoon diners that cost 1/2 the price and tasted WAY better with exceptional service. I can get a REAL steak across the street at the steakhouse for that price that is prepared and looks 1000x better than this. Then had to ask for condiments more than once. Which I know takes the longest to cook so everything else probably sat in a window dying until that was done cooking. All was cold and inedible EXCEPT my boyfriends Country Fried Steak. Food arrived via food runner (?) expo person (?) while waitstaff chatted at the computer terminal. Took 10 minutes just to get drink order and another 10 just to get drinks. After we got sat, hostess(?) manager (?) at a dirty table with sticky and crumbs on the seats that got on my friends pants. The only reason I didn't give this a full five stars is because I wasn't able to eat so I could not honestly tell you how the food was. All of the wait staff were masks although none of the patrons did. I'm impressed with the method that they use of turning the napkin container on its side with a sign that says "this table has not been sanitized", so that the cleaners know exactly where to go. I used the bathroom while I was here, and it was spotless, and anytime a table was emptied there was somebody right there cleaning it immediately. And the kids found plenty to keep them enticed. I was unable to eat because of multiple food allergies, but the rest of the people in my group said the food was good. We were able to get through the check-in line quickly, we were treated courteously, everything was clean, and the waitresses and waiters absolutely hustled! The young lady that helped our table was amazing she was personable, and she was kind to the children in our group. It was on the Sunday after Christmas, so it was very crowded. My family got together for Christmas for the first time in years, and we came to Golden Corral because this is where our late mother used to love to eat.
